House Insurance Committee Considers Regulation of Credit-Based Insurance Scoring

Legislation that would regulate the use of credit-based insurance scoring in Michigan is being considered by the House Insurance Committee.  House Bill 5297, which would adopt model legislation developed by the National Conference of Insurance Legislators is supported by IIM.

This legislative package would address many of the concerns raised by consumers.
